Christmas is coming …

Christmas is coming, and with it the season of goodwill.

What are the odds that as a gesture, the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) will call off its subpoena campaign against the p2p file sharing public?

Not good.

In fact, as the major record companies continue to use their RIAA to nail people on the one hand, they’ll still have the other ready to grab all the $$$ they hope punters will spend CDs for Christmas prezzies.

But they’re going to be disappointed. Because at least three campaigns are currently being crafted to make sure that when people think about what to buy Uncle Harry and Brother Bob for Christmas, it won’t be a CD from one or more of the Big Five (for the moment) record labels.

Watch this space.
