Personally down with MS. I’m tired of cleaning up the crap that they ell to companies. I’m an IT Administrator and all I do all day is fix MS crap. I don’t have time to document, research, or other wise, in a way that would be helpful to my company.

If MS said here are all 235 patents then OSS devs would have it rewritten in a few days. MS is buying Linux one scared company at a time. They are just afraid.

One other thing, IP is great. What would you think if someone got the C++ “Hello World!” program patented? Personally, if you put 3 seasoned programmers in a room they might all come back with the same code to solve the the problem. It is not fair because you were first, more like first one to have the money, to patent code.

I say anyone that can reverse engineer any of MS crappy bloat of code deserves to keep what they wrote like OpenOffice.org for reading doc format. My hat is off to you guys.

As for the rest of MS, they just need to leave the OS business up to the pros: Linux and Unix.
