Bloomberg and the Googley Way
p2pnet.net news:- Unasked, Google has decided to contribute its two cents to world politics and the first American politician to jump on the bandwagon seems to be New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.
He’s a, “guy who knows firsthand about using technology to make information more available,” says Pablo Chavez, Google’s ‘policy counsel’ on the new company blog, going on that Bloomberg made himself available at “the Googleplex” yesterday, to, “talk to Googlers,” including ceo Eric Schmidt, “about a broad range of issues”.
This would be in accord with the “Googley Way,” as outlined by Google director of public policy and government affairs Andrew McLaughlin.
“Among other things, the mayor touched on privacy in the Internet age, the challenges of running America’s largest city in the wake of 9/11, the status of the U.S. in the world, and the state of the presidential campaign,” says Chavez.
