Extra workers for iPhone launch
p2pnet.net news:- Apple and friends are girding their loins for June 29, a date they hope will mark a major sales event.
AT&T, the exclusive iPhone company, says it’s temporarily hired 2,000 extra store workers to handle the media-hyped launch.
There are, however, problems for potential buyers, the two most important being:
- To use the phones, they’ll be forced to open accounts with iTunes; and,
- They’ll have to sign two-year contracts with AT&T, which hasn’t yet made a price of its service fees available.
Meanwhile, iPhones will cost either $500 or $600, depending on storage capacity.
