ManHunt has got better. I like that RockaStar still have more grusome scene and adventure. I like mostly buying RockaStar games. I hope they come out with a nother ManHunt or other grusome RockaStar games.

RockStar should be left to produce excellent games without interference from outside forces. In the UK “1984″ is a reality.
In the mean time RockStar should make 2 versions one for the kiddies and one for responsible adults who can tell the difference between the real world and the fantasy worlds created in video games. I play these types of games including racing games like Burnout to unwind from the stress of modern living I don’t go round killing people and driving like a maniac.

Memo to RockStar keep up the good work, and how about an up to date version of Carmageddon.

No, man, the game isn’t being cancelled. Go to a site called Gamepolitics.com. There you’ll see that the game isn’t being cancelled. It’s been edited and given an M rating. Manhunt 2 will come out on Halloween. You can get it then. However, those stupid jerks at those family groups are trying to get the AO rating re-instated. I hope they don’t succeed. I used to post comments on Gamepolitics.com, but I was banned because I’m too radical on the issue and I hate people who think that violent video games are bad too much. People who are against violent video games are jerks and need to shut the F*CK up and get a F*CKING life.

Anyway, you should be able to get Manhunt 2 on Halloween and I’m looking forward to it too. I love the first Manhunt game it’s awesome. Oh and if you go to Gamepolitics.com and post comments, please tell Brokenscope and Hayabusa 75 Daniel says HI. Thanks man. I used to talk to them all the time on the site before I was banned. Now I just read the articles. I don’t blame the owner of the site for banning me. I’m too radical. Violent video games are the best invention on the planet and shouldn’t be attacked. Thank You

I went to my local game store today at lunch and tried to ask about manhunt 2 the guy behind the desk went on and on i only wanted a released date, saying esrb p*sh. I cant beleive they cancelled it man, the first one was so amazing. Im well behind rockstar 100% as most of us. This day to day stuff you see people killing people so why band a video game christ. Rockstar should appeal!!!

Hi all,
personnaly i have not yet played manhunt 1 yet but am currently in the process of obtaining it. I agree with everyone elses comments generally games dont mess up people. I’m 16 i play doom 3 and GTA VC a fair amount and am a peaceful person (but i will fight in self-defence). Censorship is rubbish (as you can tell im not a big fan of swearing my self) as we can get pretty much what we want online with no checks (i got my doom 3 resurection of evil from ebay a few years back) in my opion the only thing that should be censored is a certain type of websites that are visted by people whos derscription starts with Pe and ends in le (i have to choose my words carefully as im at school now and am on the pcs as ive got a few free periods) EVERYTHING else should be available for free
viewing (i say free as in freedom of information not price though that would be very nice ) as we should decide for ourselves what is ‘good and evil’.
The reason i plan to obtain manhunt 1 is after all the hubub of the banning etc.. i want to know what all the fuss is about-hopefully i wont be disapointed.

Even more so, which parent in there right mind would buy there underage kids a game that is called “manhunt”, i mean hellooooooooooo, what the hell do you honestly think a game called manhunt is going to be about? sheesh, parents, take some of your own responsibility and control your kids, dont attack a game company from releasing a peice of “fine art” !….. i hope it gets released and y’all have to kick yaselves and say…geee mayb i shud get of my own arse and authoritise what i buy and let my kids buy….sheesh…

I beleive each game should have a voice, and as rockstar has stated its “fine art” they are absolutley right, because what other game company has gone to these lengths to provide the best games on earth, the best diversity and entertainment, rockstar games can keep you entertained for ages, San Andreas was a really violent game but, it is and might be one of ps2’s and Xbox’s top selling game, i beleive that the game should be released and given a “Trail Period” so to speak, thats all i have to say thankyou, oh and i have Manhunt on ps2 and its i really entertaining game, does that mean im sick in the head for enjoying, no it doesn’t, i beleive the ones who think it is sick are the ones who are sick in the head themselves, thats all i have to say…

I believe that the ESRB should do away with the AO rating completely. All it does is effectively bans videogames from ever being released, if you have sexual or violent material, then change the mature rating to 18+ because how much different does a person become from the age of 17 to 18 anyways! fix the system!! its broken.

I just thought of another way we can help Manhunt 2. Start a petition to defend this game and to force the ESRB to drop the rating from AO to M. A petition could be very powerful to force the ESRB to let this game come out. They did it in England. To quote Lionel Starkweather from the first Manhunt. “Get on with it, Rockstar Games, I want some GORE.” YIPPEE, VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES ARE FOR EVERYBODY.

I feel you man. We need to get in contact with Rockstar Games and tell them to never tone down their game. We need to somehow force these family groups who put pressure on the ESRB to rate this game AO to go away and mind their own F*cking business. It’s none of their F*cking concern if we want to play Manhunt 2. I’m sick of those conservative groups attacking games like this one. Rockstar Games should never give in to the whining family organizations who attack them.

They have every right to do whatever they want. It’s a free country. However, I did mail a letter to Paul Eibeler back in February and told him that they should sue anti-game activist Jack Thompson to stop him from sueing them to stop the release of Manhunt 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4. It worked. I heard about 2 weeks later that they sued him. They dropped everything against him a few weeks later, but only after he signed an agreement that said he could never directly sue to try to stop a release of one of their games ever again. After that, I was elated. I hope to God my letter had something to do with that. I thought the problem would be over and Manhunt 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4 would come out uncontested.

The problem turned out to be something I hadn’t thought of. I wrote a letter to the ESRB asking them to rate the game M and let adults play it, but it didn’t do much good. I own the first Manhunt game and I think it’s one of the best games ever made. I want to play Manhunt 2 in the worst way. I hope you can get in contact with Rockstar Games and convince them to fight. Strauss Zelnick is fighting for Manhunt 2. We need to help him. Violent video games RULE.

i think that who ever on the (esrb)that reviewed manhunt 2 never
saw the original manhunt game. there is no way the (esrb) reviewers can say that manhunt 2 can be any worse than the original game. if so they didnt look at the game very well. I personally loved the game, and im so dissapointed that the problems there having relasing manhunt 2. Ive been waiting for

Man…. I can’t believe they pushed the release date. I’m getting frustrated with these parents that use games as a scapegoat because they can’t control their own kids. Plus what parent is going to buy their child a M or AO rated game knowning kids nowadays do the crazies things because they see it in the movies, games, etc. I’m 16 and I don’t go out killing people just because it was on a game or movie. Don’t punish the rest of us that have been waiting for this game just because a few people can’t control their actions after being pumped up by playing a VIDEO GAME!

I hate the ESRB and they need to be abolished. Violent video games like Manhunt 2 should be allowed to go out unchecked because violent video games don’t make people violent. Rating systems shouldn’t be in place to stop people from their constitutional right to play violent video games. Violent video games are for everybody and nobody should be stopped from playing them. We have to start a petition to at least convince the ESRB to NEVER rate a game AO because of violent content. AO should be a rating reserved only for games with pornographic sexual content. Violent content should NEVER EVER be attacked by anybody or any organization EVER. Violent video games ARE THE BEST INVENTION SINCE T.V. Violent content makes the game worth playing. Violent video games are for everybody and nobody should be restricted from playing violent video games. I’m sick of people attacking violent video games. There shouldn’t be any controversy over that. Violent video games don’t make people violent at all and never will. People have always been violent and stupid and always will be violent and stupid. Manhunt 2 should be allowed to be played by everybody. The government has to stop attacking beautiful works of art like Manhunt 2. I stand behind Rockstar Games and their violent video games that are the best inventions ever to come out.

I second all of those comments, with fewer swear-words (even though every word in existence has rolled out my mouth already) in my comment though, I do believe that we shouldnt ban creativity simply because it pushes the boundaries, I’ve seen worse violence and sexual content on afternoon movies on basic cable than most games have for 17+ gamers, the system is lacking too much in certain departments whereas they are over-protective in other departments, I probably sound like all the others when it comes to complaining about rating systems but for crying out loud, censorship is getting censored by even more censors, I’ve noticed years ago when it was immoral to say “damn” on TV, now we have full on gore and cursing available to any child who cant find his way to spongebob. I just have one thing to say to the rating system, “Just let it go, and see what happens.” Honestly, is that gonna cause a bigger problem than whats already going on in the world?
