I have always stated that Microsoft was responcible for Piracy, if they had not been so greedy they could have found a way to control the problem before it started, but that meant spending a bit more money. There are ways to stop people copying there work, but it means spending money, and this, they will not do. Sometimes i wonder who is the real pirates, look at the price Microsoft charege for a little disc, that would cost them about 2p in british money, i know that we are paying for the System, but how many billions have they got to make before they do themselves a favour, and bring the price down. It is this that is causing the problem, GREED?

Crysis will run on xp as well, so it's not going to be a visa exclusive title. Direct X 10 is just a software abstraction layer for interfacing with the hardware driver, just as OpenGL is. People are foolish to buy into the hype. If you buy new hardware will get a performance boost irrespective of the platform.

People ignorant of the mechanics of software and drivers are the ones who fall for this type of specious marketing. And let me tell you, there are alot (tomshardware forum comes to mind...).

If you are under the impression that a new direct x revision will somehow transform your hardware into something more than the sum of it's parts, you are wholly mistaken.
