p2pnet.net OT news:- Patrick Knight plans to die laughing. Literally.
He’s on death row in Texas, and he’s slated for execution today.
On his MySpace page, “run by one of his friends outside prison since they don’t have computers or internet access on death row,” says the Texas Moratorium Network blog.
“I want people to send me their best jokes, to keep me and the others with dates, laughing!” - he says.
The best joke, “will be determined by the inmates on death watch and will be recited in Patrick’s ‘Last Statement’,” says the Texas Moratorium Network post.
“Instead of ‘Dead Man Walking’ he will be ‘Dead Man Laughing’.”

Tired of being treated like a criminal? They depend on you, not the other way around. Don’t buy their ‘product’. Do bug your local politicians. Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!
