I can't wait for Manhunt 2 to come out!
I like every game Rockstar has come out with.
They are the only developers that can satisfy
what I wan't out of a game!
They are unique, they think out side of the box
and that is why I cant wait for this new mission that they set for me , so stay out of my way
or you will be next!

They've already set a age rating to try to keep minors or 'sensitive people' from buying the game, just like cigarettes and alcohol. Yes kids will still try to get a hold of it, but is that the fault of the manufacturer or the retail? No it is a problem with parenting. If your kid can't tell the difference between fact and fiction by the age of 17 then you need to teach them, or maybe it's parents who don't interact with their kids. People should know the age limits for games. There are parents out there who will buy their kids stuff to get them to shut up when they aren't the appropreate age. 'yea yea, look here's a game.... get lost i have work to do'. it's crap, and if you don' like violent games don't buy them.

Why should a politician, or his lackey lap dog, decide for you, for him or for her what we should and shouldn't be exposed to? Why should we accept there are some things that are 'too strong' for us without being able to come to that conclusion, and that descision, for ourselves?

Why are we not perceived as being able to make these choices for ourselves?

Why are there so many apolgists for censorship in all its insidious and spiteful forms?

Grow up.

"So, even if it is socialy unacceptable, and sanctions the treating of humans as "objects", as long as it's "fine art" it's okay? "

Some of the best fine art is that which was totally unacceptable at the time, let's look at John Donne's elegies foe example. Fine art is meant to challenge, and confront, and Manhunt 2 is doing that pretty well.

Oh, please, do not be a hyppocrite...You said it yourself that it was just a game!
May be using a picture of a kid who was brutally killed was tasteless. They can take it out....and then release the game.
It really is an art...In so called "snuff" the killings are real....But not in the game.
May PG-13 movies have more violence than rated M games...
And people should jufge for themselves wether or not they should play it. Give me Manhunt 2...I am going on a mission :-)

"Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick describes the video game as "fine art"."

So, even if it is socialy unacceptable, and sanctions the treating of humans as "objects", as long as it's "fine art" it's okay?

Come on!

That's is as stupid as people who say that snuff art and photos, videos are okay, because it is "fine art".

Now before you flame me, I know that Manhunt is "only" a game, but there are enough games that can help you vent your steam killing aliens mutants, etc... without having to make your main goal in the game to kill, smuggle, and sell people.

I mean really, this is a real problem in present society, and doesn't need any more followers!

I say, they should be happy that they "only" have a A-O rating.

Just my two cents.
