Just so users are aware of the difference between the two patches one will filter fakes and block RIAA sponsored fake files (winmxworld/winmxgroup) and the other will not (mxpie), in fact using the host file without blocking is the actual cause of 100% of all flooding on winmx.

When it comes to winmx folks, never say die : )

My WinMX is a mess,it won’t connect most of the time and when it connect i have loads of fake files ,that never happebed before .

WinMx is not dead ! I just used it. While it is true that KD’s particular method is offline, there are alternate ways to connect. I love this site and its info, but you have incomplete information in this case.
