		<description>Yep we do all ready have this in UK, it is called Telephone Preference Service. Basicly if call some un-solicited they you can get troble if registed that phone number. But remember it only covers un-solicited callers, so if give number away then can call you and being TPS doesn&#039;t count, in fact that is a solicited call as you gave the permission to call by giving number away. Also if you allow them to sell you number on to 3rd party they can call you as well.

Also it worth noting if like debt collection agencies is trying to get money off you because of dedt even if you never told them number they are allow to call you even if you are register with TPS.

Now BT will register you number with TPS if ask them.

I think someone should create a website with a list of all telemarketing numbers that can be updated and downloaded to a call blocking device

I also think that these companies should have to make their call out numbers public so we can block them if we choose to.
