The Simpsons movie, Springfield …
p2pnet news | movies:- The forthcoming Premier of The Simpsons movie is to be hosted in – where else – Springfield.

Vermont, that is.
Fourteen Springfields across the US strove to be chosen by 20th Century Fox to host the premiere.
But it was a close thing, apparently.
“Because of their size, they were not among the first 14 communities invited to participate,” says the All American Patriot.
However, “when they learned about this unique opportunity they asked to be included and 20th Century Fox agreed. They began the production of their video 2 weeks behind other participants.”
The prize? The Simpsons Movie opens on July 21 at the Springfield Movie Theatre on Main Street.
The Simpsons have lived in a fictitious Springfield since 1990, but it was never revealed which state had the honour of being home to The Simpsons.
Each town in the contest submitted a short video that was posted on USA Today’s Web site.
fans voted and Springfield,Vermont, pulled in 15,367 votes, beating runner-up Springfield, Illinois, by 733 votes.
