Prince’s Planet Earth on P2P networks
p2pnet news | music:- To no one’s surprise, Prince’s Planet Earth CD is all over the P2P networks, not to mention eBay.

It isn’t scheduled to go on sale officially until July but Prince struck a marketing deal with a UK newspaper and the CD was a giveaway on Sunday.
It’ll also be given away free to ticket holders at Prince’s London 02 concerts in August and September.
But Prince is still selling the album on its July 24 release date, including in Canada and the US.
It’ll be interesting to see if sales figures are released.
If they are, and if the album proves to be a runnaway success despite all the freebies, it’ll be a blow to the corporate music industry which is desperately, and disingenuously, trying to claim it’s being ruined by online file sharers and counterfeiters.

Very interesting indead. I always hold the theory that most people pay because they want too not because they have too. Let see if this is true.
