‘Potter online’ story circles globe

p2pnet news | p2p:- It’s world News!

Harry Potter leaked on the Net, says the Times of India. New Harry Potter book may have made its way to Web, states the International Herald Tribune in France. Potter spoiler posted on Internet, according to the Globe and Mail, Canada, and, New Potter book leaked online, declares The Age, Australia.

And it’s all true.

“We’ve had several emails pointing us to a site with a .pdf download of someone leafing through the current Deathly Hallows, page by page,” p2pnet posted yesterday. “Our most recent email arrived from Germany a short while ago.”

Today, “A clumsy-looking sequence of photos showing a hand leafing through what appears to be all 700-plus pages of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows began attracting notice late yesterday on various websites,” says Guardian Unlimited, continuing:

Blogs are this morning humming with speculation about what has or has not been given away.

The images appear to be of the American edition, available legitimately from midnight this Friday around the world.

With so many copies already printed of what is confidently predicted to be a huge bestseller, the risks of the feverishly anticipated story leaking have always been high, particularly so since the book’s author, JK Rowling, has revealed two characters are to die before the story ends, hinting that they may also be among the most popular.

The story has Lucy Holden, head of children’s publicity at the book’s UK publisher, Bloomsbury, refusing to confirm that the leaked images were of the genuine book, “insisting that the authentic-looking pictures could just be the latest in a blizzard of fake spoilers circulating on the net”.

Meanwhile, “The Warner Bros. fantasy sequel ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ conjured up a $77.4 million debut to lead the weekend box office, according to studio estimates Sunday,” says Metromix.com.

“That raised the movie’s total domestic gross to $140 million since opening Wednesday.”
