MPAA sues Bart Simpson: ‘downloader’

p2pnet news | movies:- Hollywood’s MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) is suing Bart Simpson for allegedly illegally downloading 20th Century Fox’s The Simpsons movie.

The flick, a full-length production based on the long-running cartoon TV series which has achieved cult status, showed up on the P2P networks about ten minutes after it was officially released in Springfield, Vermont.

“Just because Simpson features in the movie, he doesn’t have the right to steal it, depriving Fox shareholders of what’s rightfully theirs, and throwing thousands of helpless movie industry workers into the streets” declared MPAA spokesman Stan Slickman.

Simpson is denying the charges which claim he’s been showing the movie in his tree-house for a $1 admission fee.

“No Way,” he told our source. “I was showing out-takes which were my property. And if I want to take a small donation for my trouble, so what?”

Simpson says he was to have been paid $75 in weekly instalments over 10 years, “but some guy named Rudolph Murdog, or something like that, rang me up and told me what a hard time 20th century Fox is having. He has this wierd accent and I could hardly understand what he was saying.

“He begged me to take the clips instead and they told me I could do whatever I wanted with them.”

Simpson family lawyer Lionel Hutz is representing Bart.

Hey Jon, in case the voice of yours heard in the audio file does not sound as it does just because of your last week battle, but this slightly nasaly british accent is your “default”; have you ever considered to do audiobook readings?

    Seriously!
Even given that this wasn’t recorded with highend equipment in a soundproof studio I was like “OMG, what a fascinating thing!”
