Where the cars are greener …
p2pnet news | politics:- Britain’s Department for Transport has launched a new Green Car site to tell car buyers the most environmentally friendly vehicles, based on CO2 emissions.
http://www.dft.gov.uk/actonCO2 was down when we went for a look at 3:55 am Pacific, but “Using a ranking system, users are able to chose the car they’re looking at buying, and the site then offers the greenest models,” says ShortNews, also observing Australia and the US have had similar sites quite some time.
Rankings were developed using emissions data from the Vehicle Certification Agency, responsible for emissions tests, says MotorTrader, adding:
“Car categories will be broken down into 14 sectors, such as supermini, SUV and MPV.”)
