Waste is an interesting prospect as it hails the return of the small worlds darket. Before the internet, ’sharing’ was done among groups of friends. - ie. tapes & cds. Now, its come full circle - the global darknets, namely kazaa etc. are being pissed on by law enforcement, so its a return to small networks of friends - only this time with the internet & high grade encryption. Granted content may percolate through such networks slower, but it still will.

while it’s nice to see WASTE get a mention, I have to make the comment that WASTE isn’t primarily for p2p. It’s more suited to smallish networks and people who want to form workgroups for whatever reason and have a reasonable amount of security. I love WASTE, but it kind of irks me that people think this is just some file sharing app. It’s more than that.
