p2pnet podcasts: August 3, 2007

Good news!Except for occasional contributions, I won’t be doing the p2pnet casts
David Bannister in Saskatchewan, Canada, will be the official p2pnetcaster.
There’ll be a post on him on Monday.
I know. You’ll miss my dulcet tones.
*sigh*
Cheers!

Hi, David B. here. I feel a little rusty but I am trying to get my reading up to snuff so to speak. I am using Audacity and a headset mike right now but I would like to jazz up the podcasts with a little public domain music for a little intro while I am beginning each story. This weekend I am going to try to get caught up up on the current and as many older stories as I can. This is exciting for both P2Pnet and I and it will take some of the workload off of Jon. I guess I need a standard outgoing sign off as well, how about . . .
Poof!

er …. you might want to try something else. ‘poof’ has certain connotations unless you’re ‘outing’ yourself that is

My personal mini blog is at http://p2pnet.jaiku.com/ It also imports the RSS feeds from p2pnet there as well. If you haven’t tried Jaiku it’s like Twitter but a little more feature rich.

I am looking for good and free places to host the podcasts as well as sending them to Jon to host on P2pnet.net. That way they are backed up in at least two places and I can always post them to my site right away in case Jon is busy. My first try is http://p2pnet.mypodcast.com/ I want to combine each story in a 20-30 minute longer podcast and add some music intro and outro’s to make it sound a little more like a podcast. Will be working on this this evening after work.
