NMPA joins anti-YouTube crowd
p2pnet news | product news:- The line forms on the right, babe, as they say in Mack the Knife, and on the wrong end of it is YouTube, accused of infringing copyrights by carrying unauthorised video clips.

Now the National Music Publishers’ Association has joined a lawsuit lodged against Google’s YouTube, “out of concern that many songwriters were not receiving proper compensation when their music appeared on YouTube videos,” says the New York Times.
Plaintiffs include the Football Association Premier League and Viacom, owner of MTV, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.
But, “YouTube says it is complying with the law by immediately taking down any clips found to be violating copyrights after receiving notification,” says the story, adding:
“The lawsuits have been combined for trial purposes into one case being heard by Judge Louis L. Stanton of Federal District Court in New York.”
