Price drop for Canadian Xbox 360
p2pnet news | Games:- Once the very poor relation to the US buck, $1 Canadian is now bringing around 95 cents, depending on the mood of the day, and Bill and the Boyz have just announced they’ll be knocking $100 off their Xbox 360 in Canada.
Worried by the popularity of competing products, Microsoft announced a $50 reduction in the US, for the moment leaving prices as they are in Europe.
But as of yesterday, Canadians can get the premium version of the Xbox 360 with a 20-gig hard-drive, wireless controller and headset for for $400, says Games News & Reviews, also pointing out the core version is now $300 and the Xbox 360 Elite, with a 120-gig hard-drive and an HDMI port, is down $50 to $500.
Don’t get too excited, though.
In the US, the Xbox 360 Core System will now cost about $280, and the Xbox 360 Elite, $450.
There was no mention of the Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console, slated for release next month at about $400.
As we wrote this, according to XE.com, $50.00 CAD was worth $47.3798 USD.
