Google copies p2pnet feature
p2pnet news | Freedom:- Google is adopting one of p2pnet’s most important features.
It’s introducing comment posts.
However, it’s unlikely Google will go as far as p2pnet in allowing the posts, called Reader’s Writes in p2pnet, to be anonymous.
Nor will it have enough nerve to follow p2pnet’s lead in refusing to log posts as a further privacy and freedom of speech protection.
Google, “began allowing participants in news stories to post comments about the articles through the Google News service, a move that is raising questions in the media industry,” says the Wall Street Journal going on:
The Mountain View, Calif., Internet company’s Google News posts links and excerpts to articles from more than 4,500 English-language news sources. In an experimental project, Google this week
began soliciting comments from individuals and groups cited in stories it carries, working to verify the identities of those commenting and displaying the comments alongside links to the original stories.
It’s adding the comment function, “to make available additional perspectives,” says the story.

Actually, after doing some research…I found out that p2pnet is pretty heavy on traffic. Also, Mr. Newton is not an arrogant sob, I love this website…it’s always full of great reads.

I dont know if that could be concidering “Copying”… just about every news site in the world has comment availability. the title is a bit misleading, but- as kcdude says- “Its always full of great reads”.
Well, Heres another one for you. just ignore the title. : /

heh. It’s always good to see a nicely written, well-turned comment post
Actually, I was having a bit of fun. But I wasn’t joking that Google’s comments will be almost certainly be censored.
Cheers!
