p2pnet offline: update

p2pnet news | Announcements:- Hi everyone:

UPDATE

I’ve had several emails on p2pnet’s shut-down., one of which said the writer had been told I’ve sold the site this is just a prelude to a complete shut-down until p2pnet reopens under new management :)

I don’t know where that came from. But it’s really simple: I’m just taking a break. Publishing p2pnet, and writing most of the copy, day after day, week in week out, is a lot of work and I was reaching the burn-out point. So I’m taking these few days off to recharge my batteries, and nothing more.

Also, I’ve been getting up anywhere between 2:30 and 3:30 in the morning and my average working day is 10 or 11 hours, and often longer. But when I re-boot the Monday after next, I plan to start later in the morning and try to maintain a slightly more relaxed schedule.

I’ve been getting up at that time because I live on Vancouver Island in western Canada and the early start let me reach people in the eastern part of the country, who are three hours ahead of me, and in Europe, generally some eight hours ahead. However, as of August 20, p2pnet will be kicking off later than previously.

On my stomach troubles, it’s no big deal. After only a few days of treatment with natural remedies and by being careful about what I eat, it’s already significantly better. And that’s the way I intend to keep it.

“I’ll be around and checking my email every now and then, but I don`t plan to do any posting,” I said when I told you I was going offline for a short period, and a couple of people asked why I couldn’t maybe do just two to three posts a day.

Frankly, I want a break. But I’ll try to do a few non-work-intensive posts along the lines of the p2pnet news roundups.

I probably won’t do them every day, and I won’t aim for any particular time, but at least there’ll be links to at least some of news and events p2pnet would have tried to touch on.

So, Cheers! And thanks for your good wishes. See you on the 20th :)

Jon

Why don’t you ppl just let the guy have a well deserved and badly needed _BREAK_?!?!?

Good luck, Jon. Have a nice vacation. :D

…and don’t worry about these “willy-nillies” that think they have to spred fecal rumors all over! ;)

  2. JP_Patches Says:

Ya, take it easy Jon. Better yet, head on up to Campbell River for a little fishing ! :)

Very one needs a holiday Jon. Don’t think you are an Ironman. As you get older, things you ate with impunity, are no longer that way.

    Get some well earned rest.

Feel better and come back soon… and thanks for the great site!!!
