Kate Holloway TO Liberal candidate
p2pnet news | Politics:- Kate Holloway, a fervent supporter of online freedom of speech, has been named the Ontario Liberal party’s candidate in the Toronto riding of Trinity-Spadina.

“Kate Holloway has two very strong passions – the community and conservation. She believes in action and she has compiled an impressive list of achievements. I’m proud to have her as part of our Liberal team,” says Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty.
Holloway, one of the original members of the Women’s Environmental Alliance, has founded, managed and directed several Toronto environmental startups and non-profit associations, and is on the Steering Committee of Green Enterprise Toronto, a network helping independent businesses and consumers become greener and buy locally.
She’s also one of the victims in the anti-freedom of speechlawsuit launched by Vancouver businessman Wayne Crookes.
The Liberals could certainly use someone of her calibre and with her convictions.
Good on you, Kate.

She’ll be running against Olivia Chow, current NDP MP and wife of Jack Layton. She’s a terrific lady who fought in favour of the rave scene and successfully lived on welfare for 2 weeks where 2 of her fellow MPs had to cheat to feed their families.

Brian,
It is important to realize that this is the Ontario Liberal party, not the Canadian Liberal party. She will be running in the Ontario election, not the federal election where Olivia and Jack run.
