RIAA wants $543 from Michelle Santangelo
p2pnet news | RIAA News:- By way of a follow-up to Ray Beckerman’s post wondering if the RIAA and the Big 4 labels are falling on hard times, they’re now hassling Michelle Santangelo for a paltry $543.

They’ve already made her life, and that of her family, a misery, falsely accusing first her mother, Patti, and then her and her younger brother, Bobby, of being massive illegal online distributors of copyrighted music.
The standard BS line, in other words.
Now, says Beckerman’s Recording Industry vs The People, they’re continuing to demand $543 in lawyers’ fees centering on a court decision to vacate a default judgment lodged against Michelle who’s asking for a jury trial in her case.
They’re currently also trying to use the university administrations as copyright enforcement cops as they try to frighten university students into becoming compliant consumers.
Their most recent tactic is to accuse the schools of being responsible for lawsuits they’re threatening to lodge against students.
Neither Warner Music, EMI, Vivendi Universal and Sony BMG’s nor their RIAA (Recording Industry Association of
America) give a damn about how many people’s lives they ruin and nothing is too petty to try in their black pursuit of the Almighty Dollar.

Well of course they have to make an example of her.
How dare she want to defend herself, rather than let them take a default judgment against her?

Wow. These idiots are going down in flames. It’s just a small matter of time before they withdraw their case and run home with their tail between their legs. And it will stand as proof that these stupid lawsuits have absolutely no legal precedence, and nobody should be afraid of them.

Haha oh wow, you know the RIAA is in trouble when now they’re asking for $543.

Surely the RIAA can simply recover their deserved £543 by paying this massive illegal online distributors of copyrighted music £543 less. No??
Unbelievable how the courts can side with the criminals. What is the world coming to?

Trying to extort 20k people cost a lot of money particularly since the law firm they hired riped them-off! I guess they were hoping that at least it will work at 50% but in reality not even 2k people paid them.
They have to sue the rest of them and they can not afford it! beside they know that isf they sue they will most likely lose.
They spend soemthing like $250 million and did not even recover $50 million. Clearly their business of suing people is not going very well. I now they are saying that it was not for the money. Ya right!
It is like the DRM scamers they cost the entertainement industry billion of dollars and law suit and give them nothing in exchange! When parasites eat each other I love it!
This is the END of the manjors folks! Finally! Good job people keep the boycott strong and Bye Bye Bye RIAA!

Well I forgot something very important. We should give a big thanks to Ray Beckerman and all the layers (we need to pull the list here) that took it against this criminals to defend the people of this country and our constitution! Clearly heros are not just in the military.
THANK YOU!
