AllofMP3.com back online
p2pnet news | Music:- As predicted, AllofMP3.com is on its way back.

For the moment, it’s a pale version of what it used to be but it’s a start and more importantly, it’s another demonstration of the power of the Net against corporate and government bullies.
As part of their ongoing efforts to permanently close down the Russian download service, backed by the Bush administration, Warner Music, EMI, Vivendi Universal and Sony BMG used their IFPI to try to have AllofMP3.com’s Denis Kvasov nailed for supposedly distributing copyrighted music online.
However, the IFPI (International Federation of Phonographic Industry) failed and, “I want to draw particular attention to the sloppy job done by prosecutors in collecting and analyzing the facts,” said judge Yekaterina Sharapova.
“The service will be resumed in the foreseeable future,” says the site.
“We are doing our best at the moment to ensure that all our users can use their accounts, top up balance and order music.”

“to try to have AllofMP3.com’s Denis Kvasov nailed for supposedly distributing copyrighted music online”
Surely the word ‘illegaly’ should be in there somewhere? He -was- actualy distributing copywrited music online, only he was doing it within the contraints of local law.

Yes, he was doing it WITHIN RUSSIAN LAW! Not every country has copyright laws like the US. So they were wrong to try to sue him in the first place. What he was doing was PERFECTLY LEGAL in Russia.
