Hollywood commandeers New York taxis
p2pnet news | MPAA News:- Soon, taxi passengers in New York City will have Hollywood spinster-in-chief Dan Glickman leering at them from a screen installed in the back seat.
Hollywood is King when it comes to bullshit and it’s in the midst of a multi-million-dollar campaign to convince the world it’s being “devastated” by file-sharing and counterfeiters.
The fact it’s simultaneously reporting its highest revenues ever goes unmentioned in the corporate press.
Cinema audiences are already being plagued by tacky movie industry advertisements, not to mention ushers with night vision goggles trying to catch patrons videoing movies, and other forms of harrassment such as being searched.
Now the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) has conned NYC into broadcasting anti-piracy trailers in New York taxis fitted with Passenger Information Monitors.
Hollywood now controls virtually every kind of public information outlet in America.
Rumours that the MPAA is negotiating with New York as well as other major US cities to have similar monitors installed in hospitals and public toilets shouldn’t be entirely discounted.

Just in case anyone thinks this is a joke, it’s actually mentioned on the MPAA’s official site. It really makes laugh just to see how much money these pathetic losers are throwing down the crapper just to brainwash their consumers.

Oh shit, first I actually thought it was again just one of Jon’s ideas, but its really an official MPAA press release.
(BTW. why haven’t they updated their “Magic of the Movies”-thingy yet? Can’t they find their original flash programmer like Sound Exchange can’t find the artist they owe money to? Because their flash is now very well over a year old. It was already parodied last year in June while MPAA claimed they had “sunk” the pirate ship.)
