Hollywood to Ashcroft
p2pnet.net News:- The BSA (Business Software Alliance), the self-named, self-proclaimed “watchdog for the software industry,” has given US attorney general John Ashcroft a pat on the back for his leadership and “applauds the extensive teamwork within the Justice Department in the recent action, Operation Fastlink”.
That’s worth a laugh since the BSA was one of the entertainment industry owned trade-cum-enforcement-cum-marketing outfits which got the raid, managed and run by the FBI with its own agents, happening in the first place.
The FBI will no doubt be gratified to know the BSA commends it, too, “for its leadership and initiative in addressing the serious threat of software piracy”.
The Hollywood-owned trade organ “strives to create a safe and legal digital world where consumers are protected,” it says with a straight face.
And guess what?
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has also commended Ashcroft, as well as the FBI, US Department of Justice’s Computer Crimes and Intellectual Property Section, US Attorneys’ Offices nationwide, and “participating foreign law enforcement officials”.
We can expect similar fulsome messages of gratitude from the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), the other two entertainment industry bodies which were behind the raid.

Bush has appointed all these neo conservatives and this is the result. They screw the people and give all the power to corporations. They also allow corporations to outsource all our jobs to India without penalties…but that’s another issue.

you will need to move to canada via “skilled migration” if your age, legal status, and work experience qualifies. you will then need to live in Canada for 2 years to be eligible for citicenship. you do not have to renounce your american citicentship.
