France’s ‘legal’ streaming site
p2pnet news | Music:- At the beginning of the year Warner Music, EMI, Vivendi Universal and Sony BMG forced France’s Blogmuzik.net to close.
But now it’s back as Deezer.com declaring, “All music is FREE, thanks to Deezer.com. Deezer.com launches be first FREE and LEGAL site for listening to music.”
The statement is, of course, a considerable misrepresentation of reality. There are plenty of free and legal download sites but what Deezer is claiming is: it’s the first to offer “non-paying” streaming “whilst still remunerating those involved in the creation of the music (artists, record companies etc.) through the advertising revenues generated”.
“Users can also manage their own musical universe by creating their own playlists, and can freely share their lists of tracks with other users,” it says.
