Boy fined for posting on YouTube

p2pnet news | Movies:- In the first case of its kind in Finland, 15-year-old Toni Vesikko has been fined for posting a video of one of his teachers on YouTube.

“The video, taken April 30 during a school party, was uploaded to YouTube with the title ‘Karaoke of the mental hospital’,” says All Headline News.

“Vesikiko, who named the teacher, said the video was a prank not meant to hurt” but, “Nurmes District Court found guilty of intentional defamation and fined him 90 euros, or about $120,” says the story.

He was also ordered to pay $1,000 damages and $3,000 in court costs, adds AHN.

Wow! seems like the police state is in full effect. When they start to charge you something simple as exerciseing your god-given right to free speech then you know it won’t be too long before they start claming down on everybody else.

Intentional defamation? Geez. was the singing that bad?

  3. Reader's Write Says:

And how a 15 year old kid is supposed to pay that? This judge in Finland is a total moron. Are they all like that?

The best way to destroy the judicial is to do stuff like that, eroding respect for the law and the governement.

Damaging the respect of the judges is a dangerous thing to do.

  4. Reader's Write Says:

The judgement is well deserved for this kid. If you want to act as an adult then you should be punished as an adult. The 15 year man said some that is defamation of a persons character. Those that constantly drape themselves in the flag of Free Speech does not know what it mean. Respect for the law is what protects others for taking advantage of everyone.
