How about, “Na Lei Hulu I Ka Wekiu is a non-profit San Francisco-base Hawaiian hula dance company committed to the preservation and education of the Hawaiian culture.”
Not that either?
OK, then. The Indonesian word for ‘butt’?

Hulu is the name of a ‘new’ corporate video thingy dreamed up by Rudolf Murdoch’s News Corpse and NBC Universal.
“Congratulations are in order to YouTube-competitor Hulu, which took just five months to come up with a name after announcing itself in March,” says TechCrunch, going on, “Just don’t translate that name to certain languages ….”
Of course, TechCrunch did exactly that.
Hulu, eh? And someone, somewhere, was paid X thousands of dollars.
“Our hope is that Hulu will embody our (admittedly ambitious) never-ending mission, which is to help you find and enjoy the world’s premier content when, where, and how you want it,” BusinessWeek has Hulu hondo Jason Kilar burbling.
Actually, their never ending ambition is to get as much out of us as they can, giving back as little as possible.
There’s absolutely nothing to differentiate any of these crap corporate sites. So their owners end up in competition to see who can come up with the dumbest name, praying it’ll net them some of the millions of dollars they hope they’re going to get from dumb advertisements paid for by dumb advertisers whose products are similarly stuck because they’re dumb, like everyone else’s.
What’s in a name? In the corporate world, a lot.
Hulu? Just say Hooey !!!
