Apple slices $200 off 8G iPhone
p2pnet news | Mobiles:- Apple’s iPhone isn’t flying off the shelves.

At $600 for the 8-gig model, plus highly restrictive demands made on buyers such as forcing them to open iTunes accounts and sign on with AT&T for two years, that’s not surprising.
Now Apple boss Steve Jobs is desperately trying to turn things around.
In a breathless announcement at the Moscone West Apple wunderfest, “to get ready for the holidays here’s what we’re going to do,” Jobs told the audience which, according to Engadget, live-blogging the event, looked like it was half Apple employees.
“Starting today effective immediately, we’re pricing it at just $399.”
But, “what about the 4GB?” – wonder Engadget.
“Does that mean it’s being discontinued?”
Not exactly a burning question.
Meanwhile, Tough Luck, all you people who splashed out $600.

The 4G was said to not be selling, and so it’s now off the product chart. Seems pretty clear and simple. Not sure what the confusion is.
