YouTube video castigated lawyer
p2pnet news | Freedom:- Stan Hall, living in London, Ontario, Canada, lost his home home and business to a fire and didn’t like the way his lawyer, Paul Ledroit, handled the case.
He didn’t appreciate Ledroit’s fees either and expressed his dissatisfaction in a YouTube video.
“The Halls had a home and a general store in Dashwood,” says Sun Media, going on:
It burned in February 2006.
Since then, Hall has been battling insurance companies for a settlement in the case.
He hired Ledroit to handle his interests, but isn’t happy with the work or his bill.
So, with a video camera and an Internet connection, he ranted about his treatment by a London [Ontario] law firm and posted it on YouTube.
But in a decision thought to be a first, superior Court Justice William Jenkins decided the video included unproven allegations that Ledroit and his law firm were “incompetent and dishonest,” says the story, adding:
“Jenkins ruled the postings would cause lawyer Paul Ledroit and his law firm ’significant and irreparable damage’ if left for public viewing.
“Jenkins ordered the clips removed and that Hall not post anything else until the court says he can.”

This is what happens when people feel they have nothing to lose.
The lawyers may have been upset about the publicity generated from the posted video – how about the publicity generated from the demand that it be taken down.
And I don’t know what WFT means.

of course it’s much better when this oviously desperate and ruined guy vents his frustration and anger and desperation with a bullet against the lawyer if he can’t use video now to let off steam.

Surely the video would come under the banner of personal opinion?
If you wish to express an opinion, such as a certain law firm not being worth hiring becuase of their incompetence, surely this is your right? What people need to learn is the diference between opinion and fact, this is a common sense issue, not one that needs to be legislated.

I agree with the bullet comment. Those who make peaceful change impossible make VIOLENT REVOLUTION inevitable. If I had access to the video, I post it and release it via peer to peer.

One would have to ask themselves, why would Stan Hall need a lawyer to try to get an insurance claim for a building and business that burned down when good old Stan and his wife ran the buisiness into the ground.
Anyone who knows good old Stan has a good idea why. Anyone with half a brian, that does not know good old Stan should be able to figure out why.
Why, under these circumstances should good old Stan be allowed to spew false statements about his lawyer.

Not a big deal right, cause Stan is bad, and Joe shouldn’t really be saying these things, and we suspect Sarah is part of a drug ring ….. problem is it sets a precedent in court. A decade from now people are going to realize what is happening and say ‘hey wait a minute I didn’t agree to that’ .. at which point it will be too late.

The reason why the insurance co. won’t pay is only because you started the fire. You started the fire in your last house and collected now this one failed. Your scams have been infamous in the past..your a creep and a criminal

You can probably not understand what had happened to them. Unless you have been through it. Look at the insurance companies in general all over north america. Their policy is DENY DENY, and maybe they will go away. or hire a lawyer to pay as little as possible. Until it happens to you, those of you that condem the Hall’s should shut up. Because it might happen to you. And then you will sit and wonder how this could happen. You pay your insurance and when something happens you hope they will pay your claim. they are not in the business to pay claims, they are in the businnes to deny claims. That is why they have lawyer on their beck and call, to screw us. And remember bad luck happens in three.

The strange thing is simple here, wait until this happens to you. And then you ask your self why/ why won’t they pay? why are they offering me one third or one fourth of the value of my insurance. Why because insurance companies are in the business to collect premieums, and not to pay out claims. Thus the ceo of insurance companies get to travel world wide, drive limos, have expense accounts more then most people earn in a year, Why because they are corrupt, and the problem is a lawyer who screws you knows the laws, and gets away with it time and time again. Say what you want, but make sure you know or have had expercience dealing with an insuranc company.
