Disney forgives Hudgens’ nude lapse

She made a poor decision in taking the photos as there is always a very good chance something like this will end up online. But she is young, and young people do stupid things. Unfortunately for her she can`t afford to do stupid things. Hopefully she`ll learn a lesson from this. However, I think the person who is in the most wrong here is the one who leaked the photos in the first place. Keep in mind she was like 16 at the time these photos were taken. Whoever leaked these photos is likely to face some serious legal repercussions if found out. Chances are we`ll never know though.
But equally important, she’s also still a number one with Disney.
Pictures of Hudgens sans clothing spread like wildfire online and it was suggested the event could become a scandal rather than a short-lived headline opportunity.
But, No worries.
“Disney issued a statement and said it hoped that Vanessa had learned a valuable lesson,” says Product-Reviews.
What? That an exposed breast equals instant PR, as Janet Jackson discovered during the 2004 Super Bowl farce?
Disney doesn’t go into detail about precisely what her exposure taught Hudgens but she’s, “apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment”.
Not only but also, “A Disney representative said the photo would not affect its decision to cast Vanessa in the third film of the ‘High School Musical’ franchise and that negotiations for the cast and creative team were continuing,” says the story.
There’s no doubt Hudgens sincerely regrets the incident.
But you can bet Disney executives are clapping their hands with joy.
In fact, they should double whatever she’s earning.
They’d never have been able to generate this kind of publicity by themselves, and even had they been able to do so, it would have cost them a fortune in PR fees.
