Britney Spears unawesome on MTV

p2pnet news | Music:- Is Britney Spears is back. Or isn’t she?

Her recent in MTV performance was apparently quite a bit less than inspiring but, says Kanye West, that was down to MTV, not Spears.

She, “reportedly flopped at the MTV Video Music Awards because she turned up for rehearsals more than four hours late and was drinking alcohol,” says the San Francisco Chronicle, going on:

“The singer disappointed fellow performers and audience members at the Las Vegas bash on Sunday – her first major appearance in four years – with a rendition of her new single, ‘Gimme More,’ that was described as ‘nervous’ and ’shaky’.”

But, “they were just trying to get ratings, and they knew she wasn’t ready and they exploited her,” said West on Sirius Satellite Radio’s “The Morning Mash Up,” according to Associated Press.

West feels he should have kicked off the show with “Stronger,” the first single from his new album, “Graduation.”
“They exploited her, they played me and I really don’t mess with MTV,” he said.

In the corporate music world, egos and cash clash and few are secure in the non-stop in the drive to keep the fans interested.

The only winners are the Big 4 members of the organised music cartel who continue to rake it in, whatever.
