Pop-Up Video for mobiles

p2pnet news | Mobiles:- Pop-Up Video was a VH1 TV show that “popped up” ‘info nuggets’ with trivia and “spry witticisms throughout music videos,” says the Wikipedia.

VH1 was a US cable TV channel created in January 1985 by Warner-Amex Satellite Entertainment, then a division of Warner Communications and owners of MTV.

The show used to run on Canada’s MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic but hasn’t been seen regularly since 2002.
Until recently, it aired nightly on VH1 Europe, “but is currently run only on special occasions, such as Pop-Up Video weekends,” it continues the post.

“VH1 and sister channel MTV are currently part of the MTV Networks division of Viacom,” says another Wikipedia item.

But starting today, VH1 is resurrecting back its Pop Up Videos in a mobile-only, says the Hollywood Reporter.

“The new installment of original videos, ‘Pop Up Video to Go,’ will be offered cross carrier exclusively on VH1’s mobile network and will be updated weekly,” says , adding:

The content will be made specifically for mobile devices and feature a similar format with trivia in larger fonts and appearing for a longer period of time.

Gwen Stefani’s 2004 Hollaback Girl and Fall Out Boy’s Thnks fr th Mmrs will be the first videos presented on the format.

There’s even a free Freevlog Video Pop-Up Maker.

We haven’t tried it but, “That rocks hard!” - promises missbhavenson in, a comment post to the site.
