Richie Ramones sues Apple, Wal-Mart, Ramones
p2pnet news | Music:- Ex-The Ramones drummer Richard Reinhardt is suing Apple and Wal-Mart Stores for (Yup – you guessed it) copyright infringement.
Demanding at least $900,000 in damages, he says they didn’t have permission to sell downloads of six songs he wrote.
He performed as Richie Ramone and also names Ramones Productions and the estate of the band’s late lead singer John Cummings, aka Johnny Ramone, says MarketWatch, going on:
“Reinhardt claims he is the author of six Ramones songs – ‘Smash You,’ ‘Somebody Put Something In My Drink,’ ‘Human Kind,’ ‘I’m Not Jesus,’ ‘I Know Better Now’ and ‘(You) Can’t Say Anything Nice’.”
Neither Apple nor Wal-Mart have so far had anything to say.
