Elton John photos in kiddie porn probe
p2pnet news | Music:- Elton John is the latest British celebrity to become embroiled in a kiddy porn investigation.
It centres on Nan Goldin’s Klara and Edda belly-dancing, a photograph of two naked girls.
Says Elton John’s personal site:
The photograph entitled “Klara and Edda belly-dancing” (1998) is one of 149 images comprising the “Thanksgiving” installation by renowned US photographer Nan Goldin.
The photograph exists as part of the installation as a whole and has been widely published and exhibited throughout the world. It can be found in the monograph of Ms Goldin’s works entitled “The Devil’s Playground” (Phaidon, 2003), has been offered for sale at Sotheby’s New York in 2002 and 2004, and has previously been exhibited in Houston, London, Madrid, New York, Portugal, Warsaw and Zurich without any objections of which we are aware.
Elton John is known as one of the world’s foremost collectors of photographic art and has several thousand photographs in his collection, including works by Man Ray, Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, Diane Arbus and Ansel Adams.
Elton John bought the “Thanksgiving” installation from the White Cube gallery in London, says the post.
It’s currently on loan to The Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art in Newcastle.
An Elton John spokesman said the photograph had been shown around the world without objections, says the BBC, adding:
“Northumbria Police were alerted by Baltic managers the day before five collections were due to be unveiled.”

I really do not see this pix as any art. I think it is innappropiate, and I am glad it has been removed from the art display. Just does not seem normal in my book.

I think Elton John made a distasteful mistake by acquiring a copy of this photo as part of his photo buying expeditions… I believe he is generally a good man and probably did not even have much say on what was being loaned from his collection… Most of these things are done through agents… Still it does not alter the fact that Elton made a distasteful mistake by acquiring a copy of it…. BUT THE REAL ISSUE here is the perverted photographer… There are child molesters who will be sexually aroused by this photo and that is (in my view) a criminal offence. We need to remove such content from public places… This photographer should never have taken it and especially, never have released it to public viewing… I don’t care about all these people saying ’she is a respected artist/photographer’ — I think that is a crap excuse to cover the fact that she is perverted and profiting from exposing the genitals of her children.

I posses photo,s of my children in thier natural beauty, but they are my children, a witch hunt scares me. it seems the goverment is slowly increasing it’s draconian stranglehold on the world. there are many examples of goverment interference detrimental to the freedoms and interpitations of the individual, but i digress, does elton have any children is only one of the thousands of questians to ask zeekhiel
