yeah, i am not offended at all if someone doesnt like radiohead. i dont see how i implied that. but its just shocking that people are so blatantly anti-radiohead, when they are as influencial as other huge bands of the past.

thats all im saying. i dont care much for the rolling stones, but im not going to just blindly say things like “the rolling stones would have to pay me to listen to their crap”

Now wait…..the real question here is if the download version is a lossless version or mp3. If it’s mp3, then everyone, including Radiohead AND the music industry, is missing the point. Lossy format music is NOT the same as that available on a CD. If given the choice between giving the finger to the music industry by getting the mp3 and putting money in the industry’s pocket by buying the actual CD, i’m buying the actual CD.

Here’s to hoping Radiohead gets the point and releases the download version of the album on a lossless format. If not, then who cares where they release it or how much they charge for it.

Different musical tastes for different people. You shouldn’t be offended if someone doesn’t like Radiohead or any of those other bands you mentioned.

I’m not a fan of Radiohead either, but I think this is a very cool marketing strategy.

i dont really understand the severe distaste towards radiohead. thats basically like saying that pink floyd and the beatles are so terrible, that youd have to be paid to listen to them. you may not like their music, but you cannot deny that its some of the most critically acclaimed and innovative music of all time. such ignorance. thats like saying that about nirvana, or the beach boys.

i was waiting for you to write about this. i dont think enough people realize how big of a deal this is. radiohead will be getting 20 USD from me. not some record store around here.
