Superior court judge Scott M. Gordon has given custody of her two children to her former husband, Kevin Federline.
Spears’ talent is undisputed but as a teen idol, she’s the creation of the corporate music industry, a ’star’ made-to-measure who achieved celebrity status of a kind rarely seen, earning billions of dollars for Big 4 organised cartel member Sony BMG, owner of Jive records, her label.
The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) ranks her as the eighth best-selling female artist in American music history with 31 million albums sold in the US, and some 76 million sold worlkd-wide.
She was treated like a goddess and it seemed to be a dream come true.
But it’s turned into a nightmare with, it seems, drugs and alcohol at the bottom of it all.
Now she’s lost her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, “until further order of the court”.
Will her ‘handlers’ and the executives behind Sony BMG be rallying to give kind of unswerving and dedicated support she’ll need and help her deal with her substance abuse problem before it kills her?
Only if there’s a dollar in it for them.
Spears’ brother Bryan is said to manage the Spears family interests.
He’ll be needed.
The Los Angeles Times has Scott Altman, USC law school vice dean, saying the decision could be short-lived and that, “courts often shift custody arrangements based on the behavior of the parents.
The couple agreed in February to share custody of their sons, says the story, “But Federline returned to court to ask Gordon to revisit the couple’s custody agreement after Spears’ wild partying and bizarre incidents became weekly tabloid fodder.”

In January 2007, Spears’s aunt, Sandra Bridges Covington, with whom she had been very close, died after a long illness with breast cancer.[ She then stayed in an off-shore drug rehabilitation facility in Antigua for less than twenty-four hours on February 16. The following night, Spears went to a haircutting studio in Tarzana, California and shaved her hair off with clippers. A few days later, on February 20, she admitted herself to a treatment facility in Malibu, California, whilst leaving the facility briefly, she quickly returned on February 22. The previous day, Kevin Federline had requested an emergency hearing regarding the custody of his children with Spears but his attorney announced that his client asked to cancel the court appearance. No further explanation was given. Spears left the rehabilitation center on March 20 according to her manager, who said she was released after “successfully completing their program”. Throughout early 2007, Spears embarked on a series of controversial behavior that received much attention from the media, including attacking a photographer with an umbrella. As the legal battle over the custody of their children continued, many members of her entourage have been subpoenaed to testify about her parenting skills.
“In September 2007, the official findings in Spears’ custody battle were announced by the court. “Based on the evidence presented, the Court finds that there is a habitual, frequent, and continuous use of controlled substances by Petitioner Spears.” She was ordered to undergo random drug and alcohol testings conducted by the court, and also ordered to attend parenting counseling. Spears and Federline continued to share joint custody of their two children on a conditional basis. A few days later, Spears was officially charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving without a license. If convicted, she could face a year in jail.Spears lost physical custody of her children to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline on October 1.

She has no talent whatsoever. This is precisely what happens when morons idolize genetic dangling participles like Britney Spears. She is a truck stop whore masquerading as a pop music diva.
And as far as your quoting wikipedia as an information source, I would have expected that anyone purporting to be a news service like your website would know that wikipedia is far from authoritative, and the validity of entries has come under scrutiny.
The only tragedy here is that Britney Spears managed to spawn.
