I am a pirate that has gotten sick and tired of the RIAA.

The reason I pirate is because I paid hundreds of dollars for Windows XP then I can't use it unless I ask Microsoft Servers.

That's why I pirate is because I when I pay for a product I want to use it till the day I die, not till the day I have to upgrade to Vista, Vienna, or VisaXP(in 2016).

Shortcut and domains are not trade marks.
Legally they can't win, using other ways ... maybe :)

They'll get it back because they will have registered IFPI as a trade mark or service mark or something similar. If you own a string of letters within the framework of some legal registration, you get first pick on owning the domain name. That's kinda how it should be, unfortunately.

IFPI will get the domain back because they are stinking rich and will lean on ICANN, WIPO and whoever else they need to, to get it back. There is a "dispute resolution" procedure designed to resolve disputes like this. In practice, it's successfully abused by the rich to get what they want.

Fairness? They've heard of it.

hmm.. TPB did aquire the domain legaly because IFPI messed up.. why shouldnt they get to keep it? TPB has a good track record in court, im sure they will get to keep the domain witch they now own thx to stupid people :)

if you forget to pay a subscription and it becomes aviable and someone else takes it, would you bitch about it? sure but in the end you messed up, and its all your fault.
I see no reason why someone who messed up and forgot to renew should get the domain back after it has passed on to other owners, that would be messed up and unfair.

domain names would never be aviable then as the owner can stop paying and when he wants the domain again he files a lawsuit and gets it back.. not happening tbh! not with TPB hot and smart lawyer it aint! ;)
