iHuman lol I got my car for free did it up with my dad and made a few quid. This is not for everyone as is linux.

DSG sucks, and UKer’s want everthing for free (like Linux)
This isn’t news, its just another attempt by the Linux Heads to hide the truth that Linux is crap-ware.
If a car salesman gave you a car for free would it be even worth parking in your garage???

Went in several years ago to buy a sony vgn-s1hp laptop(good spec and particularly long battery life at the time) went to shop assistant asked for one and was taken to a display stand where the special offer was and given a sales pitch. Ended up walking out of the store followed by a sales guy groveling for me to purchase the special offer. Ended up getting the laptop from a local small pc shop(ordered in) for the same price.

still feel sorry for the sale guy but thats what you get when your ‘untrained’ sales staff get most of there wages from commission.

Maybe they will learn from this and start offering more options. Blindly forcing consumers to use microsoft’s newest monstrosity is most certainly the best way to lose business.

How about following dell’s lead and including Ubuntu as a default install. It is far superior to vista, and you can pass along the saving to the consumer, thus increasing the attractiveness of the price. No antivirus / antispyware required, just bliss

i like reading things like this, in the hope that microsoft will lose a noticeable bit of business to free and open software like ubuntu, etc.
