New record for Harry Potter

p2pnet news | Movies:- Harry Potter’s publishers must think people in France and Germany can only speak French and German.
The final Harry Potter book was released in France today with deliveries scheduled for Germany tomorrow, “with the publishers still trying to keep the plot under wraps,” says Agency France-Presse, adding:
“Special lead seals were put on the trucks that carried one million copies of ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ across France for the release of J.K. Rowling’s finale in the seven book series.”
Think that’ll do it?
Meanwhile, HP #1 has set another record.
‘Very poor condition’
“The first book in JK Rowling’s bestselling series had an initial print run of only 500 copies,” says Guardian Unlimited, going on:
“Many of the first editions of the book, which set the boy wizard bandwagon rolling, were bought by libraries and have since disintegrated or are in very poor condition.”
But but at least one remained in pristine condition.
“A rare first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone has fetched the record-breaking price of £19,700 (about $41,000) at auction,” says the story, explaining it was bought by a father who thought it sounded like something his son would enjoy.
It’d only been read once, staying on the boy’s shelf in his father’s house, “until the family realised recently that it might be valuable”.
After all, a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone sold recently for £19,500.
