Britney Spears Catholic priest scandal

p2pnet news | Music:- Britney Spears is about to become tangled up in a new shock-horror controversy absolutely guaranteed to outrage the Vatican and Catholics.

This time it involves a fake Catholic priest.

Her new album Blackout is slated for release tomorrow and promotional shots include pictures of her in fishnet stockings sitting on the lap of a Catholic priest during confession.

A second pic has her propped up suggestively against the confession box while the priest looks on with very definite interest.

Even her most devoted fans will have to admit this was a really dumb move.

Meanwhile, in other news, as they say, Spears has “compensated” the driver on the other end of her recent driving accident and the hit-and-run charges have now been dropped.

“On October 25, Superior Court Commissioner Susan Speer dismissed the charge, after a lawyer for the pop star said his client had paid an undisclosed amount to a woman whose car Spears hit in the mishap,” says the Voice of America.

But the charge of driving without a license is still out there wiht Spears saying she’s not guilty, and a with pretrial hearing has been scheduled for November 26.

Britney is the result of your american values, your bubble gum culture and your double moral which make of USA a country where kids don’t read books about culture and history but do know a lot about playstation, tabloids, fake tanning… and so.

    My apologies for your future.

  2. Visitor Says:

Good thing it wasn’t a mullah or we’d now be in another war

Not only Britney’s and Paris’s fault, it is mostly PARENTS’ fault!

  4. Rob Says:

is not impersonating a priest agenst the law?

  5. ffs Says:

Who gives a fuck that she is sitting on a fake priests lap. It’s a photo shoot. She’s a pop artist. who cares?

  6. Reader's Write Says:

“It’s a photo shoot. She’s a pop artist. who cares?”

    Agree.

  7. Joe Says:

Compare this to centuries of catholic cover ups and lies. This is nothing. I want my money back from that church!

    sickning,a wasted effort.

“Who gives a fuck that she is sitting on a fake priests lap. It’s a photo shoot. She’s a pop artist. who cares?”

The word “fuck” brilliantly demonstrates how Britney Spears is doing wrong – hence the definition of the word. What she is doing is disrespectful to the Roman Catholic Church. There are degrees in satire against religion, such as “Saved” or “The Simpons,” but this goes too far. People don’t have to like the Catholic Church or agree with the Catholic Church, but to show utter disrespect to religion shows we live in a disrespectful culture. Religious discrimination is alive and well today.

And in answer to your rhetorical question, I do care.

“Compare this to centuries of catholic cover ups and lies. This is nothing. I want my money back from that church!”

Coverups and lies happen anywhere, but that doesn’t mean the Catholic Church is false. It means corruption can happen anywhere and you are to be on your guard, and not believe everything you hear. I don’t even need to tell you corruption isn’t supposed to happen in the Church, but it does happen – this doesn’t mean this is what the church as a whole does or believes, it means corrupt leadership happens and more careful guidelines are required.

  10. Isaac Says:

But will the album sell because of her friends myspace page?

And what about that funny site with all her fans response to the “boycott” – http://beproactivetohelp.com
Is it real? I left a message with them anyway because it cracked me up

  11. Johnnyg0 Says:

Madonna had burning crosses in “like a prayer”, people complained and now we barely hear of Madonna anymore right? :)

  12. Joe Says:

    Hey sk8rpro,
For the record I do beleive in God, Jesus, and Scripture. But looking at that churches man made ways, they come across as arrogant. This is what I don’t understand and never did about catholics. They will go crazy and come up with all these excuses for this church but I bet the same people were not as passionate when thousands upon thousands of cover ups were exposed. Where were they when the huge buyouts came across the court room tables. Just before going to trial may I add. You didn’t go to church that Sunday did you. If you did then shame on you! You no, those teachers who made me feel like I was in hell for 12 years wouldn’t dare treat me that way now. Would they? No they wouldn’t…..they like pushing little kids around but not ones who grew up and wiped all the brainwashing out of their minds. And if your so forgiving towards these priests, bishops, cardinals, and the pope, then why don’t you forgive Brittany? You know why? Because you are as arrogant as them. And if you don’t kiss the popes hand, then you will go to hell. Step back and take a real good look man. The symbols, the clothes, the flip flops, ect. For the record I anm not a Brittany fan. Also for the record, the catholic church and the people who belong to it does a ton of good things too. This video is just a joke….don’t go crazy on me..

  13. Reader's Write Says:

Now I’m pretty sure she’s intentionally fucking her life up and doing this shit to create controversy.

And to say that we have to honor a fairy tale in order to be respectful shows that we live in a culture that doesn’t tolerate rational thought. I don’t like, tolerate, or respect the Catholic Church or its life-destroying teachings and beliefs.

Here’s a Britney controversy I can get into!

How about FUCK your fairy tales and FUCK your FUCKING brainwashing religion.

  17. sk8rpro Says:

Whoa Reader’s Write, what kind of crack are you smoking! I have never claimed to be Roman Catholic, I’m just saying, and I’m saying to all of you, respect them!! You think buildup and anger toward them is going to give you any advantage over them? If your hold anger at them, then it’s an obsession just as bad as being brainwashed.

And Joe, you accuse the Catholic Church of man-made ways. If you’re saying off-shoots of the Catholic Church who believe in Jesus, God, and Scripture don’t have man-made ways (aka tradition), you are then, mistaken. Of course, this warrants some serious discussion, and is probably not appropriate for a file-sharing news site such as this. Especially since I’m probably not in the right kind of environment for discussing this.

  18. Reader's Write Says:

I find the pictures to be kind of hot. Kind of a ‘forbidden love’ sort of a thing.

  19. Reader's Write Says:

“I’m just saying, and I’m saying to all of you, respect them!!”

How about no? I refuse to respect fairy tales that just create ignorance and prejudice.

  20. Atheist Amber Says:

I am not a britney fan, but anything blasphemous makes my seat wish for a towel.

  21. Joe Says:

I want my families money back. About $300,000 to $400,000 over 50 years that I know of.
I can’t beleive I’m saying this, but I now respect Jimmy Swaggert over that church. When they come to my home, kiss my hand, and leave the money, then I will respect some of them.
Oh, by the way pope, you might want to take the hat off and drop the popemobile. Are you kidding me?

  22. Teresa Says:

    To Joe:

I thin you may need to learn some more about Catholic Church history. I am a historian. I teach at a public university. I would say that no one hates the Catholic Church. People only hate what they *think* the Catholic Church is. People in general know next to nothing about any kind of history and even less really understand the history of that Catholic Church. Most people result to the only allowable prejudice in today’s American society and continue to *willingly* believe the lie. What could remidy this situation? Teaching people how to critically judge their sources and not believe everything they read!

  23. Joe Says:

    Teresa,

The pope and that church do not come across as humble at all. That’s where they loose many people. There’s no such thing as being infallible. There are a few popes who proved it.

You know what’s funny and ironic about you teaching me about the catholic church? It was in college history and government class that really changed my mind about this. To the people who know nothing about the history of this church I say you should know a few things.

Read up on the “Indulgence controversy”. Or the failure of the renaissance popes. Read up on sacrements and transubstantiation. Are those things in their holy book? Here is a good one: The Galileo Story. They wanted to put this man to death because he proved the Earth was round………..LOL. Not only that, but it took this church five Centuries to apologize. Are You Kidding Me? Yes, 5 centuries!
He is not the only one they wanted to put to death. Read up on the Scientific Revolution and the emergence of Modern Science. I can’t beleive people still let this church gauge them.

I will stop there because I don’t want to embarrass you. Well, maybe one small thing that’s happened and was covered up.
THE PEDOPHILE SEX SCANDEL and COVER UP. COVERED UP STRAIGHT TO THE vatican.

Let me bow down to you and thank you for educating me. And let me thank you for alerting me that my “thinking” is flawed. You should have told me it was my “perception” too.

Seriously Teresa, I would like to know what I’m missing. Please, please don’t hide behind the saints or good works, or the popes hat, or the cardinals clothes, or mother theresa, or mother mary, or that Peter was the first pope…give me something else. Why does that hierarcy do the things they do and act the way they do?
I still want our families money back.

    God Bless You,

    Joe

  24. ? Says:

    um……. okaaaaaaaaay………..

  25. sk8rpro Says:

    Hey Joe:

You know a good book to catch up on is “The Catholic Verses” by Dave Armstrong. I say – read it! But you know what’s interesting, don’t align your views to fact, as well as my views to fact. At the same time you are biased, angry, and hateful. Whenever there is anything that says something contrary to what you believe, you want to blast them.

Yes, yes. I know about the indulgence controversy, that’s what? 500 years ago? And the pedophile sex scandal. Yes, shit happens! That doesn’t mean the Vatican from the Catholic Church approves of this. You think Protestants are clean of this controversy as well? That’s only because the media hasn’t broadcast it yet. Why? Protestants don’t stress on unity and are a bunch of individuals. But with the Catholic Church, that would make a better story because there are no divisions and because they are unified and because they are bigger – therefore, it’s easier to attack them.

You blast Teresa, because she is educated, but for some reason you think you know better. And in the end, you say “God bless you” – you say the pope does not appear to be humble – well, neither do you!

  26. Joe Says:

Yes, I guess I have a lot to learn. Forgive me everybody….I know scandels happen in all walks of life..
I will look for that book this week when I take my weekly trip to Barnes and Noble.

I guess I just have a really hard time with the church because they didn’t point their finger at themselves at first………and it took so long……..and the only reason why they finally came out and gave a quick apology is because people started really questioning things. Then they started to relise how much money and real estate they were going to lose. They like pointing their finger at everyone elses sins but when it comes to theirs…….then they get a pass?

Has anyone been following the Opra school scandle? I give her a lot of credit….She came out fast, told us what was happening, started an investigation, people were fired and rules quickly changed.

Compare this to the finger pointing religion!

Hey sk8rpro…….Do you think that some of the money my family gave to that church went towards defending those pedofiles, priests, bishops, cardinals?

If your answer is “yes”, Then don’t you think I have a pretty good reason to be a little pissed?

Also, seriously…………If this was your little girl or little boy or your niece or nephew, What would you do?
Would you Go to church, kiss the popes hand, then give him money. If you answer “Yes” then your nuts.

I still want our families money back….but I will try to get better and rethink everything that I have felt for a while.

    Joe

  27. DUH Says:

SURE!!! you guys just wanted to prove that all of you are right…and posters/readers in this thread should agree with you…. JUST FUCKING SHUT UP!!!!..ALL of you have your own opinions….so just deal with it…. THIS TOPIC IS A NEVER ENDING DISCUSSION…. So what if Britney is having a lot of Fucking SCANDAL???? She is not the only one who had this kind of controversy, a lot of showbiz personality, not just in The USA…all over the world AMERICA….EUROPE…ASIA just to name a few. SHE IS BRITNEY SPEARS, that is why people talking about her, but if she is just an ordinary person like us…who the fuck will care?? ARE YOU A SAINT???? on the bright side…atleast you people care about what is happening to her…Does she gets into your nerves??? Go and Kill yourself!!!! INGRATES!

HATE YOU BRITNEY CUZ PEOPLE CAN’T STOP TALKING ABOUT YOU BITCH!

  28. Reader's Write Says:

You are just a little bitch and you ain’t getting no money back. You are probably dirtier than that pedophile and you try to hide behind something that should not even concern you just to find an excuse not to go to church and not to give alms which go to many different works of charity. If pointing the finger at someone makes you feel better about yourself then you are a sick person. If you knew anything about Galileo you would realize how ridiculous your argument is.
