Sasquatch redux

p2pnet news | Off Topic:- Sasquatch, aka Bigfoot, or Yeti in the Himalayas, Yeren in China and Yowie in Australia, is famous.
And now, so is Rick Jacobs.
He was out with his video camera in the Allegheny National Forest, north of Pittsburgh, and there IT was.
So he posted the flick on his web page and, and, and …….
Is Big Foot really real?
“Given the scientific evidence that I have examined, I’m convinced there’s a creature out there that is yet to be identified,” National Geographic News had Jeff Meldrum, a professor of anatomy and anthropology at Idaho State University in Pocatello, saying in 2003.
He/she/it is written up in the Wikipedia meaning he/she/it must be real. Correct?
Sasquatch, says the entry, “is a figure in North American folklore alleged to inhabit remote forests, mainly in the Pacific northwest region of the United States and the Canadian province of British Columbia. In northern Wisconsin, Lakota Indians know the creature by the name Chiye-tanka, a Lakota name for ‘Big Elder Brother’.”
There’s even a famous Big Foot movie taken by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin in 1967 with a hand-held camera and of course, there’s a copy on YouTube. —- with an enhanced version. The pic on the right is a clip from it.
And of course, there’s the ever-popular British poem which suggests the creature originates the Himalayas. If that’s so, it possibly made his/her/its way into Northern climes when the land masses were still connected. The poem goes like this:At Charing Cross [a famous London, England, railway station - Ed]
I met a Yak [an excessively hairy cow-like creature found throughout the Himalayan region of south Central Asia - Ed]

UPDATE & WARNING @ 11:48 am PST, November 1
I’m now deleted the link to Rick Jacobs’ site here and in the original post.
It apparently linked to an ActiveX=Virus.
I’ve just done a search and I don’t seen references to this which doesn’t, of course, mean it isn’t happening.
My apologies to anyone who’s been bothered. Obviously, if I’d suspected there was anything untoward, I wouldn’t have included the link.
For anyone who still wants to check this out, the site is easy to find, but you go there at your own risk.
