X-Files: the return

p2pnet news | Movies:- X-Files is on its way back.
Or at least, the sequel is. And it’ll be filmed in Canada —- Vancouver, BC, to be precise.
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be together again and July 25 is slated as the US release date, says the Hollywood Reporter.
“Series creator Chris Carter will direct the still-untitled film,” says the story, going on,
“Carter also co-wrote the screenplay with Frank Spotnitz. The duo also are producing, with Fox production vp Steve Asbell overseeing for the studio.
What’s the premise?
All they’re saying is: it’s a “supernatural thriller” which’ll, ” take the complicated relationship between FBI agents Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions as Mulder continues on his quest for the truth and Scully remains inextricably tied to her partner’s pursuits,” adds the Hollywood Reporter.

I hate to say it, but I think the X-Files was done to death. Some of it was good, some was rather boring. I actually liked the unrelated episodes where they used to investigate new things, instead of the seemingly never ending platitudinous alien abduction storyline.
