‘Shock Jock’ Don Imus is back

p2pnet news | Radio:- “There’s some rough girls from Rutgers,” said ‘Shock Jock’ MSNBC’s (at the time) Don Imus said back in April.
“They got tattoos … ” but, “the girls from Tennessee, they all look cute.”
He was also widely quoted as saying the Rutgers University women’s basketball team, with eight African-American and two white players, were “nappy-headed hos”.
We thought the first crack about “hard-core ho’s”came not from Imus, but from Sid Rosenberg, who was on the phone with Imus. But a p2pnet reader corrected us, saying
“That was the show’s ex-producer Bernard McGuirk talking to Don Imus during those infamous comments, not Sid Rosenberg.”
Either way, Imus was canned and the remarks led to a debate by the Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection Subcommittee.
But all is forgiven and Imus is back, this time with with Citadel Broadcasting.
“The infamous defamer is set to hit the airwaves of WABC-AM, the flagship station in New York, acquired by Citadel last year when it bought Walt Disney Co.’s Radio station assets,” says Hollywood Today.
He re-starts on December 3.

Maybe his show will be less boring on radio.
