The Pirate Bay backs rock band

p2pnet news | Music:- The indie music and movie search sites are really gearing up to show the entertainment cartels what’s what and which way is up.
First we had mininova’s announcement that it’s been named as the one and only distributor for mock reality show Pariah Island.
Now The Pirate Bay is following suit by officially backing Swedish band Lamont with the release of its Golden Daze album.
If you’ve never heard of the band before, you will now
“In 2002 five friends in Malmö, Sweden, started a band,” says Lamont on its web site.
“The idea was not only to make music no one had heard before, but to put up live shows that no one had ever seen before. We have always thought that too many bands, and too big bands, didn’t make enough effort to put up a great and unique live show.
“We think that the future in music is not through selling records (only a few really big acts sell large numbers of records today) but through deliver something extra on stage. Lamont is not only about the music, Lamont is about the whole experience of singing, dancing and going to the show.”
Stay tuned to see what else’ll turn up

To be fair, Lamont is not nearly as good as old glam rock bands (T-Rex, Sweet, Slade etc.), but I would never have heared about their existance if not for TPB.
