Is DIGG buying coRank?

p2pnet news | Product News:- Is DIGG on the acquisition trail with coRank at the target?

That’s the rumour, but that’s all it is says TechCrunch. A rumour.

“coRank is the place where you can create or visit pages where you can add whatever things you find interesting on the web, and do all sorts of things once they’re added,” says the site.

But CEO Rogelio Bernal Andreo told TechCrunch, “We’re exploring collaborations and partnerships, but not a full sale. So my official answer is that no, we have not previously talked to Digg.

“Rogelio told me that coRank approached Digg in May about a possible collaboration but were rebuffed,” says the story, going on:

“He suggests that Digg cloning would be a logical business for Digg. Digg was not adverse to the idea, he said, but they were not willing to partner.”

However, “As Digg looks for new avenues of growth, they may be inclined to help others build Digg-like sites by providing a white-label service.”

In other words, stay tuned.
