Sex Pistols – back again

p2pnet news | Music:- The Sex Pistols are back.

Kind of.

As promised, they opened the first of a five night stint at the at London’s Brixton Academy last night.

According to the NME, “The predominately male audience were in high spirits throughout, answering back to singer John Lydon and even calling him ‘a fat bastard’.”

Says Times Online:

That they’re all way better musicians than they were back then meant that the garage cacophony of Liar and I’m a Lazy Sod placed them closer to, say, Metallica than their old selves.”

According to The Stranglers’ JJ Burnell, quoted by the BBC, “They’re old men who get together every few years to top up their pension fund.

“And now they can actually play their instruments, it’s boring. Mind you, they’ve had 30 years to learn how to play one album.”
