Yahoo China copyright violation

p2pnet news | Music:- “It is incredible that the music industry should have to defend its rights in a Chinese court against a company in which an American corporate icon has such a large stake,” said IFPI chairman/CEO John Kennedy in a statement.
“Yahoo is one of the best-known international brands on the Internet, which runs its own legitimate music services all over the world, including in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Yet in mainland China, Yahoo is investing in and profiting from the widespread breach of intellectual-property rights.”
The IFPI (International Federation of Phonographic Industry) is another of Warner Music, EMI, Vivendi Universal and Sony BMG’s copyright cop outfits we spent as much time suing its masters’ customers as it does in looking after legitimate business.
So what upset Kennedy?
Yahoo China is accused of copyright violation.
The Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court had the temerity to find Yahoo China parent company Alibaba, “guilty” because of its practice of, “providing ‘deep links’ to Web sites offering unauthorized content such as mp3 downloads, lyrics and ringtones,” says Billboard.
Yahoo US, meanwhile, has just been forced to agree to support the families of two Chinese dissidents who were jailed for 10 years after Yahoo supplied chinese police with materials.

Lyrics are just text, freedom of speech is good in some places, in others you cant type anything cause its from a song or whatever.. i think its idiotic how “lyrics” can be sutch a crime, text is freedom of speech, you can type wtf you want to.. or well atleast in countries where you have your rights left..
