But despite an unbeaten record of passing off bald-faced, non-stop and very public truth re-adjustment statements as facts, it’s not the biggest liar.

Hard to believe, but it’s true.

That distinction instead goes to one man —- John “Johnny Liar” Graham who won the annual competition of tall tales, held in Britain. And he now holds the record not merely for Britain and North America, but for the world.

How did he win the honour?

He told a story about a German World War II submarine invading Britain to capture digital television decoders, says Agency France-Presse, adding:

“The 69-year-old claimed he stumbled across the U-boat as it prepared a raid on the nearby town of Whitehaven, which has become the first in Britain to switch from analogue to digital television.”
